Having been all through that stuff maybe you could compile a list of
results. We would be interested in keys, antennas, rigs and maybe even
shoes, cars and lawn mowers. I used to play a sax but that was 40 years ago
in the marching band and upon graduation, I quickly sold the sax. Perhaps
with the right mouth piece I would still be playing?

har - well I'm still enamored with the late 1960s Selmer Mark VI horns but they're awful hard to find without paying $6K+.

Be glad you are a cw op
because buying 20 of each microphone could get expensive!

No chance of that. Between my Vibroplex bugs and Heathkit UltraPro i'm all set for life. Running phone is too complicated. Everybody gives you hell if your phone audio doesn't sound like a broadcast station. I sold my microphones and went back to CW. Nobody complains about my Ten-Tec CW, they clamor for it!

Get both and test A/B comparison. I've gone through a few 250Hz CW
filters and they all have different characteristics - all the ones I
had, anyway. My INRAD 250Hz #751 CW filter performs as well as my stock
TT 1.8KHz filter, but the TT 1.8 should have far lower loss than the
INRAD. If I had a microphone I'd probably pursue improving sideband
receive but CW's all I do so there you have it ;-)

I remember going through 20+ saxophone mouthpieces when I was looking for a new one. Took all day. Same brand, same type, same size, same everything but each one was completely different. I would up buying three and now use only one of them.

Same thing goes for filters. The Jupiter is outstanding in this regard
because you don't have to screw with any of this filter picking
business. I just wish the Jupiter would narrow down to 100Hz instead of
300Hz.

Hello all,

I have a question about the TT roofing filters for my Orion.

Does anybody knows if the Tentec roofing filter #218 (1.8KHz) is the same
than the Inrad roofing filter #761 ?

My dealer have both of them, at the same price and I wonder if Tentec is
producing their own filters knowing that Inrad is "THE" specialist in

that

domain !

My question : Is the Tentec #218 filter is not an Inrad model with a

Tentec

sticker on it ? I'd like to know before ordering.

Would like to know. Many thanks for support.

Eric, ON6CV.

PS / Hope than Ivan will not go to Sevierville cause we need the company

to

survive !
