[TenTec] TT Orion Question

Before I call TT, I wanted to ask the Orion owners this question.
 
Does anyone know how to open up the reciever/s up to 10Khz on the  Orion?
 
Since commercial AM/FM radio stations transmit at 9.5Khz, its seems  like a 
darn shame that I cant hear them at 9.5Khz. The Orion receive  bandwidth is 
adjustable up to 6Khz. :-(
 
Also, does anyone know how to open up the transmit bandwidth beyond the  
3.9Khz setting?
At least up to 6Khz.
 
Since the Orion is software defined, I would think that a few  programming 
changes should do the trick.
