My, My, My, this sure sounds familiar. I guess it implies that no radio is perfect, despite the manufacturers name or the cost of the radio. I must point out that I have never experienced any of these problems with the IC7800 or the Orion!

Hi, only on 14Mhz my keyboard "gets crazy" when I overcome 40 watts.
All of the sudden light go off and buttons get blocked... SWR 1.1 and
eccellent ground system on the rig. On the other bands it doesn't
occur even with the highest SWR !!!! I have to restart my 7800 to
have the keyboard oparational and I cannot push out more than 40w in
psk e rtty. ... see you de ik8wjp

RF keyboard or does it have a cord? Either way you have RF in the
shack and need to deal with it. A good ground is best. But RF beads
may help.
