I am surprised by those who are saying that the Corsair NB works well with ignition noise. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Or else just different operating conditions? My Scout's NB does a much better job on my car noise than my Corsair. I don't normally operate the Corsair mobile, so it really isn't a problem, but the Scout's NB seems better to me in my mobile situation.

Yes it does work, and quite well for its design. It mainly functions in
high frequency, high amplitude noise 'spikes' such as automotive
alternators. I have a neighbor with an older 'fixer-up'er' and it is
very noisy when it is running just a few yards away. The Corsair NB to
the rescue. The NB design does not work well at all with atmospheric
noise sources.
