With the OMNI RF output set at 100W on a Bird watt meter the FWD meter on the OMNI jumps to 25W, then decays down to 10W over a couple seconds time. What does the Bird watt meter do? Stay at a constant 100 watts? Or drop the same as the Omni meter? What about reflected power indicated by the Bird? How about the Ic (Collector Current) on the Omni? Does it stay relatively constant during key down? If the Bird reads 100W and the Omni meter reads only 25W, there is a bit of calibration error somewhere. Scratchy potentiometer or loose or dirty connector inside the Omni? DE N6KB |
