Thank you, Tommy. Well I think I found the site -- K1EL.com. I'll
take a look. If I can't find something like DigiPan for the Mac, I
may have to just grit my teeth, hi, and get a dedicated PC for the
Orion. Then again, PC prices have sunk so low that the incremental
cost is pretty negligible. Still going to try to hunt for Mac stuff
first, though, if I can.

Randy,
Take a look at the K1EL wed site (don't have the URL handy). His
keyer/keyboard interface is supposed to be quite good, eliminating
the need for keying from your Mac, while possibly still being able to
control the Orion.
I think the good PSK programs, such as DigiPan2, MIXw, and the others
are all PC based. DigiPan 2.0 seems to be very good, but may not be
functional on a Mac.

I would like to interface an OS X Mac with my Orion. Specifically I'd
like to use something like MacLoggerDX, and I'd also like for someone
to recommend a PSK package as well. A few questions:
1) Are there other Orion-using Mac users on the list who interface
the two successfully?
2) Is there a specific PSK program worth using? A Google search left
me somewhat confused -- it looks like the best waterfall software is
PC-based.
3) Years ago, Heathkit offered a standalone keyboard that generated
Morse. I realize that's a wimp's way out, hi, but is there a keyboard
based software CW package for Mac OS X that can key the Orion?
MacLoggerDX seems to offer such a function, but I wonder how usable
that minor feature is.
Thanks for any advice.
