I think the European broadcast band may go even lower than that. I'm pretty sure the BBC radio web site refers quite often to transmissions on 198 LW (which I presume denotes khz). See www.bbc.co.uk/radio4. The long wave frequency is where the ball-by-ball coverage of the recent cricket test match was carried.
