On the subject of Ten-Tec knobs and the silver inserts....I buy, rebuild and use previously owned Ten-Tec gear. Been a passion of mine for over 30 years. Love this stuff. Anyway, after many months of looking I finally located and purchased a nice Century 22 for my Ten-Tec station. Overall it is in good condition except the silver (actually a smoke insert) insert of the main tuning knob is badly scratched (Century 22 was suppose to have the calibrator installed but it didn't... another story). Went to Ten-Tec for a replacement knob but their parts department no longer has these knobs (sigh) so I'm looking to Ten-Tec owners to perhaps find a spare in un-scratched condition. 73, Jerry KG6TT Fairfield, CA |
