Bill

The Argo V will perform in areas of high RF. I use it on CW during Field Day
with an 800 watt SSB setup 150 feet away. Learn how to use the filters and
passband tuning. My Argo is first production run (Oct., 2002).

Bill,

It has been my experience that the Argonaut V does not perform particularly
well in high noise or high signal strength environments. That being said, I
don't believe your symptoms are typical of a normally functioning unit.
Hopefully some of the knowledgeable folks here will have more specific
ideas for you.

Even with those limitations, I still enjoy my Argonaut V. I sold it once,
missed it, and bought it back. It sits next to an Icom 7800 and if the band
conditions permit, I'm more likely to be playing with it than the big rig.
Hope you get it sorted out. I believe you'll really enjoy it when you do.

Brad
