Randy,

No the Omni V has only one optional 9 MHz slot. It is activated with
the NAR button. You'll have to choose between a putting a narrow SSB or
narrow CW filter in there.

I have tried both the TT 2.4 and TT 1.8 filter in that slot.
Interestingly, the 1.8 actually helps on CW. It's not a huge difference
but in crowded conditions I can hear a definite difference.

I've also noticed that the 9 MHz filters seem to filter more than the
6.3 MHz filters do. I've compared the TT 2.4 filters to the Inrad 2.8
filters, one at a time and the change from 2.8 to 2.4 is more noticeable
in the 9 MHz position than in the 6.3 MHz position. I wish TenTec would
have reversed the scheme, providing 2.4, 1.8, .5, .25 positions on the 9
MHz board and a single 6.3 MHz position.

Yes, TX audio goes through the 9 MHz 2.4 slot so using the Inrad will
give you a bit more bandwidth and fidelity. Personally I'm OK with
that.

Thanks Keith, I Think you're right and I will try them first. I can
always sell them in a couple of days if the results are not to my
tastes. What you've just told me is what I had heard. Put the 2.8s in
the TT
2.4 slots, and move the TT 2.4s into the 1.8 slots.
Not sure about the 6 MHZ. position, but the transmit audio goes THROUGH
the 2.8 KHz in the 9 mhz IF (I think I have that right)--so your SSB
envelope is fuller. I'm still a little confused though on the 9 mhz.
Narrow position. Is there two narrow positions?
In otherwords, I still have an extra slot for a 600 HZ inrad on CW? TNX
