Could be carrier null setting on SSB, but more than likely is stray RF in
the shack caused by ground issues.

Just as a side note, until you own or borrow a nice dummy load, you can not
claim that you do not have antenna or feedline issues.

Subject: [TenTec] Triton IV SSB problem

My Triton IV works fine on cw but has a problem on ssb. When the PTT is
closed the radio puts out about 10 watts of RF on 20 meters with no audio
applied. In addition when transmitting in ssb the minimum audio output is
about 25 watts with ALC and Drive turned fully CCW. My SWR is 1.4/1 so
there aren't any antenna problems. Any assistance is appreciated. Kim
