I have the K4, which should be about the same, and it
works FB on my Omni V.  The manual covers your
question as does an explanation of external keyer use
and settings issues on their advertisement website for
the keyer. If you go to their site they will have a
bit written about advantages of external keyers and
their setup with keyer/equiped rigs.  You might come
to find that using an external keyer on all rigs is
the way to go anyway.
