Well a picture is worth 1000 words.
 
I have placed a document on my website.  The Main /  Sub receivers are close
to 5000 to 6000 Hz wide when monitoring noise on the 80 metre band.  When
looking at the AM broadcast band I've found that an AM station has a
bandwidth of 3000 Hz.  However, when I look at noise on the AM band presto
it's now as wide as the Orion filter.

In summary, all is well and my original post was due to "pilot error".
Sorry for the bandwidth but I had to correct my findings and do a Mea Culpa.
