My Paragon manual lists the mike input Z as "200 - 50K ohms" at a signal
level of 5mV or -62dB. This is not high Z folks.

That says any low Z mike will work just fine into this input. While a true
high Z mike will not work into the Pargaon and such as the input Z is too
low. High Z mikes like to see 1 meg or higher. I operate my non-amplified
D-104 into 3.3 megs on the Collins S-Line and the Heathkit Apache. Now, if
one uses the amplified version of the D-104 it will work just fine into a
low Z input such as that of the Paragon or Scout. And will work into a high
Z load as well appearing only as a voltage source. Remember, all D-104
mikes are not created equal as the G stand makes the difference.
