the relay is rated at 250 volts at 1000ma or 2000 ma at 125 volts
the relay is used for negative line keying
the mosfet will only handle positive key lines, but will do so at 6
amps and 250 volts.
the newer mosfets I am using will do 10 amps at 250 volts.
btw... ten tec makes the cases for me and they are painted the same
color as the Jupiter, so it is as perfect match to the jupiter as you
can get

Hi Mike,
That looks like a nice product. I have a couple of questions. The
specifications list says the relay contacts are good for 2000 mA at 125
volts. Many older amplifiers have around -150 to -180 VDC that needs to
be grounded to key them. Later in the text it says you can key the
Heathkit's -130 Volts. Is this unit using a 125 volt rated relay to do
that? What about the MOSFET output rated at 250 volts? Can that output
be used to pull a negative DC voltage to ground? Or will that only work
with positive voltages?
Thanks,

check out my ampkeyer, here's the link:

notice at the bottom of the page, there's a photo with the ampkeyer
and
the jupiter.
the ampkeyer is simple to use, and so simple to hook up even a caveman
can do it.
