A 100 uH choke across the mike input to ground would look almost like a dead short at audio frequencies. He probably doesn't have any RFI and most likely doesn't have any transmit audio either. So in that case, I guess one could say "problem solved".

I wouldn't advise it.

An  ex-Pegasus (now FlexRadio) user has told me that he attenuated RF
feedback  from an antenna in close proximity by bypassing his mike input
line to  chassis ground  with a 100 uH RF choke.

Has anyone else tried  this?  What, if any, were the results?
