Right. The Orion is a dream rig for CW. At first I also thought it was
too much, but as you mention, the terrific receiver lets me "hang in"
there with very weak signals (esp. QRP stns) in the face of miserable
band conditions, QRM, etc. And I love using both VFOs, one for tx and
the other for rx, even for casual non-split qsos, since each has the
same big knob - it's like running a set of "twins" without the hassles
- thanks to the A->B and B->A buttons. Wonderful ergonomics.
