I had a protracted exchange with a fellow whose Argosy was bothered by
broadcast band transmissions. His trouble may have been from the
standard AM broadcast band. He resolved the trouble by adding a filter
ahead of his Argosy. He got it from ICE (
http://www.iceradioproducts.com/filtersrf.html ). I believe the one he
got was one of the last ones on the linked page.

| Sorry, didn't realize it had been answered a couple of
| times. I also have been basing my mods on the posted
| link; the recieve seemed pretty good, although it may
| need some more work: Was qso'ing the other night on
| 7.113, when the noise floor suddenly jumped. A few
| minutes later it was practically S9, and then I
| realized a SWBC had come on. I'm guessing the rise in
| noise was from a "dead" carrier before the audio came
| up, probably on 7.115.
|
| Anyhow, an RF gain mod would be good tack in, once I
| get it back on frequency.
