Loose filters might make this, more likely its the TRX switch on the
back that connects the receiver to the internal antenna switching
circuit or separates it for using with a separate antenna as was
discussed on this list in the last few days. It has been known to go
open from atmospheric corrosion, often all it takes is sliding it open
and closed a couple times to make contact again. A drop of DeoxIT from
Cramolin can keep it going longer.

There are several internal cables that can do this, a failed RF
transistor can do this, a bad solder joint in a signal line anywhere in
the receiver circuits can do this. But check that switch first, its
notorious for this effect.
