recv audio was severely attenuated.
Makes contacts fine, power out is full-up.
All reports are good,
I must turn the volume control up all the way to pick out
the stations.
This rig recv, signals on s-meter are way down,a S9 signal is
S1...

Would lose filters or bad contact on filters, cause this?

Yes losing the filters might do this. If they are not completely lost,
and and are loose it might happen too.
Also Main/Aux antenna switch in the wrong position, or the relay that
does this switching stuck in the wrong position or failed would do it.
Also a problem with the 20 dB attenuator or switching for it.
Does it do this on all bands? Does it do this regardless of filter
selection? Does it do this in all modes?
Try connecting an antenna to the AUX receive antenna input to see if
that helps (don't transmit if you have removed the antenna from the main
antenna jack)
Get inside the rig and "exercise" all connectors, including the plug in
filter connections. Use Caig DeOxit or Cramolin on connectors per Caig
and Ten-Tec instructions.

If none of this helps, I'll give you $50 for it.
