This is probably completely wrong to anyone who has actually rebuilt a PTO...I have the rebuild kits but have never tackled the project but over the years, with having six of those pesky pto's under this roof, I have used Triflow, 3 in one oil, and the stuff in the blue can that is used for everything...name escapes me at this second...just a little, let it run down the shaft of the pto with the knob off....use gravity to your advantage , walk away from it for a day or so and that has always made balky pto's work for me....for what it's worth....Steve, KU3S ----- Original Message ----- From: "jfelts" <jfelts@rap.midco.net>

Got my C21 about an hour ago, its stuck on the low end of the dial, about
14017 on 20m. It recieves, and it transmits.

How the heck do you get the main tuning knob off? I've tried small screw
drivers in case it uses set-screws. I've tried allen wrench and don't seek
to hit the center. I think if I can get the knob off I can dribble some
alcohol down the PTO shaft it will free. It will move a tiny bit either
way.
