Yep, I'm finding the same thing. I like a loud sidetone. Now, the only way
to get it the way I like it is to run the volume way up and turn the RF gain
way down...then the sidetone has plenty of volume viz-a-viz the signal I am
copying, as the sidetone tracks the volume control.

On my O2 with firmware 2.037j the sidetone level appears to be
too weak for my taste.
Used to have the sidetone level set to 50% for the front panel
headphone connector. This is now much to weak. Even cranking it up to
100% does not help much.
Now I must use the rear speaker output to reach a comfortable level.
Do others notice the same?
