They fixed it!  I don't have my usual signal generator with me, but generating 
tones from computer sound card, first frequency response test shows a curve 
that looks like the one in the specifications.  Off 6 db at 50 Hz, about 2 dB 
at 100 and flat from 150 to 3.4 kHz, off 3 dB at 3.6 with the BW set at 3.9.

This should resolve all of the audio complaints from the previous versions.
