[TenTec] Help with Pegasus Serial Connection

I recently obtained a Pegasus, Model 550.

I am sure it is pretty typical with this radio, but I cannot get it 
working with my computer. 

Could I beg someone to help coach me through it?

I suspect that I am doing something wrong with the serial connection.  I 
would like to respond off-line.
