I experience occasionally raspy/distorted receive audio in my
headphones on strong signals with 2.059. Careful adjustment of gain
can usually eliminate the distortion. I assume there were changes to
receiver (and transmit) gain distribution, as well as dsp algorithms,
with v2 firmware. Gain control adjustment seems more critical with
v2. Receive and ssb transmit audio distorts more readily (compared to
v1 firmware) when gain controls are outside a narrower range of
adjustment.
