My RIT was intermittent when the rig was less than a year old. I removed
the front panel and hit the RIT pins with my soldering pencil and some
solder. One pin was a bit difficult to get the solder to flow, but
eventually with a little more heat, it flowed and all has been fine since
2004.

Mine does that every once in a while. In my unit, power up/down has
always cleared the problem. Sometimes a band change will also clear it
up. Odd problem. The other thing that is odd about my Orion is that
the longer I run it, the fewer problems I have. First six months it was
locked up twice or so each week, now I seldom have one.
