I had inquired on the LIST regarding battery and charger set-up for the
HERCULES II. There were several recommendations to use a pair of Trojan
T-105
golf cart batteries in series with a BATTERY TENDER charger/maintainer.
After
looking up the info on the TENDER I noted there were several options. I
sent a
note to the company asking for their recommendation. I am not sure if I
phrased the question correctly but this was their reply. I just wanted to
pass it
along to the group.

CHARGER SELECTION QUESTION: I am a ham radio operator and will be powering
my Ten Tec Hercules II linear amplifier with batteries. The power
requirement
for the amp is 12v @ 90-100 amps. I am planning on using a pair of Trojan
T-105 golf cart batteries in series. I want to leave the charger
connected at
all times. Can you help me select the proper charger? I need one that won\'t
creat a lot of RF noise so do I need a linear model? Size and rating? Thanks
