Carl,
many feel that the doors would be wide open for the CB element
to the airwaves and they rightly have a concern for that. I have not
listened to CB for 40 years but I am sure it has not changed. At
this time most people respect others and intelligent conversations
are the norm on the amateur radio frequencies. One only has to
listen to CB to hear what amateur radio could very possibly become.
If someone takes offense to my opinion on this that is too bad. It is my
opinion and one who wants others to enjoy what I have enjoyed for the
past 40 years.

Let's be realistic about this new FCC ruling. It is not a disaster for CW. A disaster would have been if CW was no longer allowed. The way it is now,
only the people that want to learn CW will learn it. What is wrong with
that? I plan on enjoying CW for a long time.
