I'd appreciate any comments helping me to clarify some issues with
serial commands for the Argo V.

First off, N4PY's control program works fine with my setup; It's when I
attempt to issue commands under Teraterm or Hyperterm that I run into
problems.
I have the comm protocols set up correctly (1200, N,8, 1). Some
commands execute correctly (*X, *M, *J, #0, #1, ?E, ?S, ?V), while
others do not execute.

My main interest is in setting frequency control. If I issue the vfo A
query command (?A), I receive a cryptic 2 or three letter code, which
looks like extended ASCII code. I have yet to successfully set the
rig's frequency with the *A command.

I KNOW the baud rate, parity, and , word length are correctly set,
because when I issue the DSP restart command, I receive the message
"RADIOSTART."

Thanks, Paul AA4XX
