OK one more time..It is as simple as this...A balanced antenna up more than 1/4 wavelength "sees" infinite impedance to ground, So to save your copper braid etc put your antenna up 1/4 wavelength and make certain it is balanced at feed point, then you do not need any ground other AC safety grounds. Stray RF in the shack needs attention. RF can kill with prolonged exposure. Other than poorly shielded gear, the two conditions above cause RF problems
