Yeah...my omni vi does that little shift also...until I pulled the internal
speaker (I never use those anyway...much prefer an external speaker) and
installed a computer power supply's fan that runs in series with a second
fan on the heatsink. No more drift and the omni's internal components stay
nice and cool.
I placed an air filter on top of the speaker grill to keep dust out of the
works.


The fact that it took 9 years for this to develop would lead you to believe 
it might be some aged component or bad solder joint letting go........next 
time I can get near some freeze spray-about 35 miles away- I'll pick some 
up.

I'll keep you posted.

Would still be interested if anyone has found the culprit.
