I've noticed one interaction between the two on Orion v2.059d. Try
this: set both left and right headphone outputs to MAIN. Set the main
rx audio gain to a comfortable level. Press the SPOT button. Now
advance the sub rx audio gain toward max. and press the SPOT button
every so often as you go. Once past the half way point or so, the sub
rx audio gain seems to control the spot tone level - careful, for at
least on my rig, it gets very loud as you approach max gain. I found
this out the hard way when I left the sub rx gain way up and then
later pressed the SPOT button while listening to the main rx with
headphones.
