Since the K2 is a kit, it is only as good as the assembly and adjustments
made by the builder.
Mine is very stable, but I took my time, and adjusted everything using a
spectrum analyzer.
The keying is most likely because of poor soldering, etc.

I have noticed many K2's drift an objectionable amount. Some have poor
keying. Just yesterday I worked a 2-day old K2/100 on 40m cw, and in that 30
minute rag chew it drifted downward 150 Hz. Hope the K3 is more stable.
