I had a similar problem early on with my power supply. It turned out  
that the cord going from the AC to the power supply had an internal  
problem with the metal sleeves. I unplugged it, pulled the metal  
sleevess out a bit with some needlenose pliers, and all was fine.

Look at ur power cord!
