Jack,
Let me give you some free advice (and worth every penny I might add). <grin>
Your mileage may vary, but as the retired forensic scientist for a large
telecommunications company doing fire/lightning/electrostatic discharge
investigations (among many other duties), I have found that anything
electronic "ain't never right" once it and lightning have crossed paths.
I have found that a severe static discharge tends to promote "whisker"
growth in semiconductor devices, casing problems that may not appear for
several months. I'm sure TenTec can get it going for you, but I
personally would not place any money on the equipment's long-term
reliability.
Opinions on this may vary, but this has been my experience.
Even if you have to pay the deductible, my advice would be to have your
homeowners insurance company buy you a new rotor and radio.
Good luck!
