Just to let you know, I have noticed this on mine as well. As you indicated, 
it is very, very, infrequent, transient and aperiodic; a blink of the eye.

So, I bet the rig is fine.

I am running 2.059d and am very pleased with this version too.

I have also noticed the sweep "blinking" on the Orion I running V2 software; 
not with V1.
