The new digital encoder arrived yesterday from TenTec and I installed it
today. It seems to have done the trick.

The replacement was pretty straightforward, following Rick's lead about the second part of the Omni V.9 instructions.

The only tricky bit was getting all the sockets back on to the plugs on the keypad board, especially no 95 which is just below the display. There's 6 pins on the board and 5 on the connector so, if you're going to attempt the replacement, make sure you mark which is the spare pin before you take off the front panel.

Many thanks again for all your help,
