I had a warbly sidetone when RF got into the key jack of the rig.  In my 
case, the RF was getting into my keyer, then to the rig.  In one case 
(Hallicrafters HA-4) the keyer output was a transistor.  RF would prevent 
the transistor from conducting fully and that would make a warble.
