Rick brings up an interesting point. It is possible that TVI for hams
on HDTV will blank the screen, so the TV viewer will not have a clue
what happened, unless they live in the ham's house!
Maybe DTV is not all bad ---I would say Rick, you deserve a new antenna and rotor. There were some articles in Video Review magazine a few years back about optimizing a Radio Shack TV outdoor antenna for HDTV use. Seems the author found the standard design did not have good gain on the higher channels so he moved the elements to optimize the response. -Stuart K5KVH |
