And again just today...
I called Ten tec about my Pegasus I just got in trade...
Had a slow power prob.. I was on 40 meter AM. And when I set my dead key. It went from 0 to 10 watts fast but from 10 to 20 watts slow??? Humm called ten tec. They said no big deal change a cap in the ALC. From 4.7 to a 2.2..
I Did and Guess what.??? PROB gone...
BUT I have never try'ed 160 meters on it till today.. (only got it a few days ago). Well 160 meters has no output. I remember that these Pegasus had a relay prob. Sent email to Ten tec. Boom got reply from them. And yes its a relay. SAME DAY SUPPORT YES... And there are 14 relays in it. A FULL set is about 25 dollars including shipping.
$1.25 each plus shipping...
AGAIN try that with a Jap box....
TEN TEC has my VOTE...

Yes, Kenwood and Yaesu rigs can be tough to get serviced.? I got rid of my backup Kenwood TS570 because it needed repair.? The parts had to be obtained from off shore.? The service people couldn't be reached.? Customer service wasn't good.

Think twice about Kenwood.
