I rewired my D104 Mic with a 8 Pin cable I got from TT..the ESD issue has gone away. Pin 5 on the O7 is chassis ground and is the pin to use for PTT common and Mic audio shield. The cable has two wires within the shield for Mic - and Mic +.. I didn't realize the connectors on the front of the 07 are not connected to chassis ground. When Jack Burchfield of TT explained this to me the ESD solution became much clearer. Now the ESD bleeds to the chassis ground via Pin 5.
