John,

i had to built a simple switch to key my Orions. there is a circuit diagram in MixW showing a diode, transistor, and two resistors that is keyed by a serial port or parallel port from the computer. i chose to use one serial port to read the Orion and another port to key the Orion. that works wonderfully well.

MixW interlaces with LOGic8. the CW keying from LOGic8 is not to my liking. MixW is superb for digital and CW.

running both radios at the same time thru serial ports is no good. even using a USB adapter is too slow. one needs a switch that switches between radios to make running two radios useful. Dennis, of LOGic, thinks the problem is the serial port implementation. i am now convinced that one needs some sort of box for SO2R operation.
