I have had good results with the Hy-Gain AV-640.  It requires no guys, at least 
for those of us who don't live in the hurricane belt (winds of 70-75 mph or 
less) and is designed to be mounted at least 8 ft above ground.  Mine is on a 
10 ft pipe mast.
