Thanks Ron....that's what I was looking for. It probably also drops the
noise a tad for that weak signal stuff on 160.
I found I was using the 250 Hz in my Orion even with the insertion loss.
It
allowed for less noise than the 600 Hz INRAD in the 1 Khz slot.

under the 300 Hz filter. I can hear the difference when I change BW from
300 Hz using the 300 Hz filter and 310, which forces the 600 Hz filter.
If
you contest a lot, the 300 Hz filter is worth the investment.
