Ed the OT feature will let you do several things. First there is a switch
MAX MIN OFF. That is the rate of tuning on the OT knob.
Second is the switch RX TRX TX. This lets you pick which you want to do.In RX you can use it as a RIT, in TRX it moves both RX and TX the same amount. You can use this as a fine tune on a station. Or TX lets you offset the TX freq. All of this works both up and down freq. The OT feature lets you work a small split such as in a pileup without using an outboard VFO.
