Pretty weak reason Perry. A lot of us also own the original Orion. Regardless, why hold anyone up? It'll be two years in May since the last update on the O II. Perhaps Scott will explain why they chose to do the O II first, and then hold it up until the O is finished. Certainly, TT knew that the question would be raised.

Perhaps it is a courtesy to those of us who made the OII possible by
purchasing OI. Of course there will be a OIII down the road. Think about it.

I "thought" the two codes were different. But, even if they're the same,
and your scenario is correct, why not just issue another update?

Still makes no sense to me. The O II beta testing took between 3 and 4
months.

george writes...

Can't understand the "simultaneously" release of the firmware?
What does the O have to do with the O2 firmware?

I suspect the code for some of the new features is shared between the
two, and if they find an issue to be resolved on the O version,
they'll probably want to propagate that change back to the OII version
to minimize version differences. It's a configuration management
thing.
