I got this massive HP 8656B signal generator, but for nearly all the
receiver testing I do, I use the elcraft signal generator.
crystal controlled on 7.040 and has output of 50uV and 1uV.like the other guys mentioned, you need to see if the receiver is deaf or it is a s meter problem I had a 509 that would not tx right and was deaf too.turned out to be a defective .01 cap that was connected to the antenna jack mike Mike, WB8VGE SunLight Energy Systems The Heathkit Shop http://www.theheathkitshop.com/ J e e p o|||||||oA man with one clock knows what time it is.
