After reading the notes on this reflector for a while now, I decided to bite
the bullet and do the firmware upgrade for my O2 last night.
The upgrade went smoothly and quickly. No problems noticed in loading the
firmware. I was concerned because the instructions seemed too simple. In
retrospect they had all the needed info.
Best I can tell the radio is working just fine with the new firmware. The
operative words are "best I can tell".
Can anyone point me to a site where I can read just what some of the new
features are supposed to do and how they work?
For example, the new sweep software makes the sweep much more useable for
me. Previously I thought it was pretty much useless but now the sweep has
much more definition. Some signals are in white and fewer have red spikes.
I wonder what the red spikes mean?????
Previously there was a RX menu item allowing us to select the sweep
bandwidth. That menu item seems to have disappeared. Am I just missing
something?
What is the enhances A>B VFO copy function?
Would like to know where I can get these and other, similar answers.
