I wish I had bought one of the ten meter to two meter transverters. It would have been the perfect mate for my Radio Shack HTX-100 10 meter SSB/CW transceiver, which never gets any use these days.

I understand that Ten Tec discontinued the transceivers due to parts availability problems.

The "Microwave Modules" line was also nice. I have one of their 2 m converters.

I really liked my 1208 transverter. I used it with my Argonaut II, and worked all continents with 8 watts during the last F2 peak feeding a Hy-Gain 4 element beam at 50 feet. I gave it to a friend to get him on 6 meters and built an Elecraft transverter. I have not noticed much of an improvement in performance with the much more expensive Elecraft unit, and it also has been a bear to get some bugs worked out of it. I wish Ten Tec still made these transverters. They were certainly hard to beat at the price.
