You can locate the low-value that is currently the blocking capacitor in
series with the RIT varactor (voltage variable capacitor) and, say, double
its value.
It's probably around 5 to 10 pf. and if you double it and then re-center the
RIT calibration, you will obtain approximately twice the change through the
same voltage swing.
Of course in doing this, you will quicken the response of the RIT control,
covering more cycles per degree of rotation.
